Our goal is to provide women and girls in Afghanistan with the possibility of safe online education and economic empowerment, thus empowering their voice and potential regardless of the physical constraints that exist. We strive to create a world where no obstacle is allowed to hold back the intellectual and independent spirit of women, where every Afghan girl is free to seek her education and connect from her home.
Who We Are
We are a community that refuses to abandon Afghan women. When their rights were stripped away — their schools closed, their jobs erased, their voices pushed out of public life — we chose to stand with them. Our work is simple: education and income opportunities that help women rebuild their independence. Our founder, Marzia Azimi, left Afghanistan, but the weight of what was happening to women in her country never left her. That memory became her mission — and the reason this organization exists. We believe steady, honest effort can spark real change. And we believe every woman deserves the chance to learn, to earn, and to live with dignity.

Marzia’s Story
Born and raised in Herat, Afghanistan, Marzia Azimi founded Seda Empowerment with a deeply personal understanding of the barriers women face when access to education and financial independence is limited. Her own journey brought her to the United States, where she pursued higher education and built a new life. Today, she is turning those opportunities into a mission: helping women in Herat build confidence, independence, and a future of their own.
